Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between in-clinic and home whitening?

With in-clinic whitening everything is done in a single visit with us. With home whitening you get trays and whiten at home over a few days. In-clinic whitening is faster, while home whitening is more flexible.

How long does in-clinic whitening last?

The result of a whitening treatment can last for several years if you look after your teeth well. How long it lasts varies from person to person.

Does in-clinic whitening hurt?

Some people get temporary sensitivity during a whitening treatment. The gums are protected before the gel is applied.

Can everyone have in-clinic whitening?

Not everyone. Teeth whitening is not for you if you are under 18, pregnant or breastfeeding, or have untreated cavities or untreated gingivitis. The same applies if you have thin enamel, exposed tooth necks or sensitive teeth, or are allergic to the whitening agent. Fillings and crowns cannot be whitened. If you only want to remove surface stains, Airflow may be an alternative.
