About your membership
FAQ
What does a membership include?
A membership is available to anyone aged 18 or older and begins with a dental examination to ensure we can provide the right care for your needs. Once approved as a member, you pay a fixed monthly fee of 149 SEK, which covers your regular check-ups and necessary treatments such as fillings, root canals, and tooth extractions.
There’s no cost to become a member beyond the 149 SEK/month. We're available to our members every day from 07:00 to 21:00, both at the clinic and online at dentme.com.
Do I need to have an examination before I can become a member?
A membership begins with a dental examination performed at our clinic. We do this to ensure that we can provide the right care for your needs. The examination is booked as soon as you apply for membership. Even if you require treatment included in the membership after being approved, you won’t pay more than 149 SEK/month.
How often can I book appointments?
We recommend an annual check-up. Your dentist will create an individual care plan and may suggest more frequent visits if that’s better for you and your teeth. Regular visits help prevent dental problems and ensure long-term oral health. There is no limit to how often you can visit us – as a member, you can reach our dentists trough our online chat from 09:00 to 17:00 every day. If we determine that you need to be examined by a dentist, we’ll schedule an appointment at the clinic.
Can I become a member if I have cavities or other dental issues?
Yes, during your initial free examination, we make an individual assessment to ensure that Dentme can help you maintain healthy, beautiful teeth in the long term. Once you’re approved as a member, we also schedule any necessary fillings or procedures right away. These are then included as part of your membership. You only pay 149 SEK per month, no matter what.
Can I cancel my membership at any time?
Yes, since we have no commitment period, you can cancel your membership at any time. However, it's good to know that you can’t reapply for membership until five years have passed since you ended your previous membership. We can’t guarantee future availability, as membership spots are limited.
Can I be denied a membership?
Yes, membership may be denied if, during your initial examination, the dentist determines that Dentme is currently unable to meet your dental care needs. In such cases, we will recommend another provider who can better assist you. The examination is free of charge for you – we primarily use your general dental care subsidy (ATB) if available. Once your dental care needs have been addressed, you are welcome to apply for membership again. See full terms and conditions at: www.dentme.com/terms-and-conditions
What happens if I miss a scheduled appointment?
Missed appointments are not covered by your membership. To avoid being charged, it’s important to cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance if you're unable to attend. Missed appointments or cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled time will be charged a fee of 399 SEK.
How does my dental care subsidy work?
The general dental care subsidy is a financial support provided by Försäkringskassan that you automatically receive each year. The amount is either 300 or 600 SEK, depending on your age, and it can be used for dental care covered by the national dental care benefit – such as check-ups, preventive care, and routine treatments. The subsidy is granted on July 1st each year and can be saved for up to two years.
At Dentme, everything is included in your monthly fee – even the state dental care subsidy. When you come in for your annual check-up, we automatically apply the subsidy you’re entitled to. You don’t need to keep track of amounts or dates – we handle that for you. If you don’t have any subsidy available at the time, your fee remains unchanged.
Please note that if you are a new patient and your membership application is denied, your ATB will be used in connection with the initial examination. Our goal is to make it as easy, safe, and transparent as possible to take care of your dental health.
