What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is an advanced orthodontic system that serves as an alternative to traditionalbraces. Individually fitted splints move the teeth gradually into the correct position. Small tooth-colored brackets can be attached to some teeth to make the movements more efficient.

Using advanced 3D technology, a precise digital treatment plan is created, showing a simulation of the expected end result right from the start.

How an Invisalign treatment works

1.Consultation - We will make an initial assessment of your teeth and discuss your needs and wishes.

2. Digital scanning - A 3D scan of your teeth is taken to create an accurate and individualized treatment plan.

3. Manufacture of rails - Based on the plan, a number of transparent, customized rails are produced.

4. Treatment - You wear the splints for 20-22 hours a day and change to new splints every 1-2 weeks, as instructed.

5.Follow-up - Regular check-ups with your dentist or orthodontist ensure that your teeth are moving as planned.

6.Retention - After treatment, you will be given a retainer to prevent your teeth from moving back.

Stabilization after treatment

Once the teeth have been moved to their new position, it is important to stabilize the result. This is usually done by gluing a thin metal wire to the inside of the tooth row, from canine to canine. For larger changes, a night splint may also be recommended to keep the teeth in place.

What is the impact on the cost of Invisalign?

The cost of an Invisalign treatment can vary depending on several factors:

The complexity of bed problems: More severe abnormalities require longer treatment time and more splints.

Number of jaws treated: Treatment of one jaw is cheaper than if both jaws are fixed.

Duration of the treatment period: Minor adjustments may take a few months, while more extensive treatments may take several months.

Before each treatment, a thorough evaluation is carried out and a personalized treatment plan is drawn up to give you a safe and predictable treatment.

Factors that can further influence the Price

Dental health: Before starting treatment, teeth and gums must be in good condition.

Extractions: If teeth have to be removed to create space, additional costs may apply.

Preparatory examinations: X-rays and extensive investigations may be added as separate costs.

For an exact Price, we recommend you book a consultation at Dentme.

We are happy to help you find out what applies in your particular case and what reimbursements may be relevant.

Benefits of Invisalign

Discrete processing: The rails are transparent and barely visible to the outside world.

Convenience: They can be taken off at meals and on special occasions.

Gentle treatment: Invisalign is often more comfortable than fixed braces.

Adapted lifestyle: Suitable for those who want freedom and flexibility during treatment.

Who is Invisalign suitable for?

Invisalign is best suited for people with mild to moderate straightening needs, such as crowded teeth, small gaps or crooked teeth. It is important that you follow the treatment recommendations and wear the aligners on schedule for best results. Your dentist will always assess whether Invisalign is the right option for your particular needs.
